At the Edge: The "what-now" of Holocaust remembrance. As the number of survivors decreases, it is necessary to think of new strategies for retaining Holocaust memory. What is the role of Holocaust memorials and authentic historic sites in this process, most importantly that of Auschwitz, a place most frequently associated with the Holocaust? How should we commemorate the Holocaust in the future? Israeli historian Florence Isenberg will attempt to answer these questions and more in her lecture. In English. Free admission.
