New online exhibition on the website of the Jewish Museum in Prague

1. 7. 2016 Overview news

The Jewish Museum's Shoah History Department has prepared a new online exhibition, titled "I no longer have to be afraid of my neighbours": the life of Ivana Beranová (Fantlová) and her family. This exhibition is an example of the museum's long-term efforts at charting the lives of the Jews of Bohemia and Moravia over the course of the 20th century. It comprises excerpts from biographical interviews that Ivana Beranová (née Fantlová) and her mother Marta Fantlová provided to the Jewish Museum in Prague, along with unique photographs and documents from her family archive. The material is contained in the museum's Oral History Collection. The exhibition will be on view from 1 July 2016 at: http://collections.jewishmuseum.cz/index.php/simpleGallery/Show/Index

The Jewish Museum in Prague is dedicated to the preservation of the Jewish memory. Every Jewish life is unique and deserves to be remembered. We are interested not only in the memories of the Shoah, but also in the post-war experiences of the first and second generations. If you would like to share your memories and experiences, please contact the curator of the Oral History Collection, Pavla Hermína Neuner, tel.: 222 749 227, email: pavla.neuner@jewishmuseum.cz
