The work of the Collections Department primarily concerns taking professional care of the bulk of the Museum's holdings. This involves not only storing, conserving and restoring collections but also keeping registers and specialized catalogues and exhibiting and reproducing them in publications. Such work is in the professional hands of experts from the fields of art history, museology, Jewish studies, textile, metal and paper restoration, and museum technology.
