Services of the ORT Computer Lab

The ORT computer laboratory is supported by the non-profit educational organisation World ORT and provides not only technical support for the Jewish Museum in Prague, but also services for the general public.

The laboratory has five computer stations with high speed internet access and a number of specialised computer programs focused on Jewish themes, including the multimedia Encyclopaedia Judaica, a database of Holocaust victims from Bohemia and Moravia, text editors with Ivrit and Arabic language support, and multimedia CD-ROMs, such as Bar Mitzvah, Junior Judaica, Navigating the Bible II and Family Tree Maker.

The laboratory also organises courses in computer basics and computer courses focused on Jewish themes, with others depending on demand. For more information, please send an email to radek.smutny@jewishmuseum.cz.

The services of the ORT computer laboratory are free of charge, including access to the internet.

Opening times for the public: Monday (1 - 3 p.m.), Thursday (2 - 4 p.m. )
