Prepared in association with the Czech Centres (an association of Czech cultural and information centres in 19 countries) and the Jewish Museum in Prague, the exhibition Bohemian and Moravian Synagogues was put together as part of the Year of Jewish Culture project, which marked the Jewish Museum’s centenary in 2006.
The well-known and amply visited synagogues in Prague are not the only Jewish monuments in the Czech Republic. This exhibition features photographic documentation of 24 Bohemia and Moravian synagogues which are being gradually reconstructed in this country. The main aim of the show, according to the curator Blanka Rozkošná, is to draw the attention of a broader public and of visitors from abroad to the architectural gems to be found in Bohemia and Moravia.
Technical parameters: 24 panels + 1 introductory panel with a description of the exhibition
