The main task of this committee is to ensure the systematic expansion
of the collections of the Jewish Museum in Prague. It sets priorities
for the Museum's acquisition policy and prepares expert opinions which
provide a basis for the purchase of collection items, both directly
from owners and via auctions. Individual members accept offers and
submit them for assessment by the five-member committee which is convened
when required. Other Museum experts as well as external specialists
are brought in for occasional consultations.
