A concert given by the woodwind trio Trifoglio in collaboration with leading Czech bassoonist Jan Hudeček, featuring works from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries by such composers as W. A. Mozart (1756–1791), Darius Milhaud (1872–1974) and Ervín Schulhoff (1894–1942). Trifoglio (“Trefoil”) came into being at the Music Faculty of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. The trio won its first award at the ISA-Internationale Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Budapest courses in Payerbach in August 2013, taking first prize in a competition for 20th century works for woodwind ensembles. In the same year, the trio continued its success at the Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf competition in the Moravian town of Vidnava, picking up 1st prize, the laureate title and the absolute winner award. The ensemble also won 3rd prize at the international chamber ensemble competition in Chieri, Italy. Trifoglio is currently performing with bassoonist Jan Hudeček, who is one of the most sought-after performers from the young generation of Czech musicians.
 
Jana Bergmannová (oboe) attended the J. V. Stamic Elementary Arts School in Havlíčkův Brod, the Prague Conservatory and the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. During her studies, she took regular oboe classes held by C. Wetzel and G. Guichard. A member of the Prague Philharmonia, she was previously in the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra and in the European Union Youth Orchestra. She gives oboe and recorder lessons at the elementary arts school in Ratibořická Street, Prague–Horní Počernice. With support from the Czech Music Fund, she performs in concert with a trio or pianist throughout the Czech Republic for Friends of Music Clubs. She also focuses on presenting 20th-century solo pieces for oboe. She has received awards at various national and international competitions – including 1st prize in Payerbach, Austria, 3rd prize in Chieri, Italy, 2nd prize in Wroclaw, Poland, 1st prize and absolute winner of the Czech Conservatories Competition, semifinalist of the Prague Spring Competition etc.).
 
Jana Černohouzová (clarinet) was born in Olomouc. In 2018, she successfully completed her doctoral studies at the Music Faculty of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. She obtained several awards during her studies. In 2015, she received an honourable mention at the Prague Spring International Music Competition. This was preceded by other successes, including 1st prize at the 2nd Viennese School competition, 1st prize at the Viktor Kalabis competition in Austria, Yamaha Music Scholarship, etc. Since 2011, she has been a member of the all-female clarinet quartet Cantarina Clarinete. Since 2013, she has also been a member of Trio Clavio, with which she won 1st prize in the chamber ensemble category at the international music competition in Padua. As a chamber and solo performer, her focus is on 20th- and 21st-century works, particularly by Czech composers. Since 2017, she has been dedicated to working with young performers at the Teplice Conservatory.
 
Jan Hudeček (bassoon) hails from a family of musicians in České Budějovice. He is a graduate of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, where he studied under Prof. František Herman and Prof. Jiří Seidl. At the age of 15, he gained great success in the 15th Città di Barletta Young Musician International Competition in Italy, becoming the overall winner of all wind instrument categories (up to the age of 30). In 2008, he received 1st prize and the laureate title in the national round of the 42nd edition of the international radio competition Concertino Praga, and the laureate title in the international section of this competition. In May 2014, he won 1st prize and the laureate title at the Prague Spring International Music Competition. In connection with this, he also received the Czech Music Fund Prize for best performance of a piece by a contemporary Czech composer, specially written for this occasion (Jiří Teml: Commedia for Bassoon and Piano). He likes to promote 20th-century music, especially by Czech composers. Since the end of 2011, he has been performing as a solo bassoonist with the National Theatre Orchestra in Prague, and since October 2015 he has been working as an instructor at the Faculty of Music of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts.
