First part of the film series by movie historian Alice Aronová will be dedicated to the memories of the early years, which Billy Wilder (1906 – 2002) spent in Europe before his emigration to Hollywood in 1934. This significant filmmaker, scriptwriter and director of Jewish origin with over fifty movies and six Oscar Awards on his account, belonged to the Hollywood elite. The movie Double Identity (USA 1944, 107 min) tells a story of seemingly perfect murder. This master piece among dark thrillers was created based on a true story in cooperation with writers James M. Cain (1982–1997) and Raymond Chandler (1888–1959).
