Jewish Museum: 120 Years

Prague

From 13. 11. 2026 to 31. 05. 2027

Historical Building of the National Museum, Václavské náměstí 68, Prague 1

"May you live until 120!" ("Biz hundert un tsvantsig!") is a traditional Jewish birthday wish. For the Jewish Museum in Prague, this wish truly comes true in 2026.

For 120 years, the third oldest Jewish museum in the world has preserved the stories of Bohemian and Moravian Jews—stories of people, places, and objects that have been an integral part of Czech and European history for more than a millennium.

The anniversary exhibition in the Historical Building of the National Museum opens the door to this extraordinary world through rare artifacts from the Jewish Museum’s collections, many of which are presented to the public for the very first time. It tells the remarkable story of the museum itself, but above all, of the people whose lives, traditions, and memories its collections safeguard.

Included in the general admission ticket to the National Museum.

Under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel.

The exhibition is held with the financial support of:

Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, DAP a.s., Daramis Management, Dentons Europe, Albico, s.r.o., Mark Pinzow, Evan Lazar
